Shawn saw a real-time problem that a lot of people are facing and decided to take an initiative to eliminate it. Some people believe that Uber/Lyft has solved most of their travel problems, especially ones inside the city; however, Shawn realized if people are drunk, not well, can’t drive or need to attend video call on the way to their homes, they can go home using an uber but have to return later to pick their car, what if they get a reliable chauffeur who can take them back home, what if they don’t need to come back to pick their car, they will love it! That’s the kind of response Bonobo has been receiving since it launched.

Business Requirement
Shawn was very clear with what he needs with complete project broken into phases, Phase-1 includes on-demand chauffeurs and ride-hailing and it’s live now; next phase has already been analyzed and it’s in the project planning phase. It will include on-demand bikes, across the region and best part is customers don’t need to drop it to a particular parking zone instead they can drop them anywhere and Bonobo team will pick them up.
Solution
An app that let you hail a ride, ask for a chauffeur instantaneously ensuring safety and security. All drivers are verified before they can start taking rides, both customers and drivers are provided with SOS button within the app in case of an emergency. Promos and Coupon code keep customers engaged to the platform and secure payment gateways ensure that users don’t worry about their card information.
Development
We developed a mobile app for both iOS and Android platforms. iOS app was developed inSwift and Android was developed in Java. The backend panel was coded in node.js and jquery.
